City reminds residents of recovery site rules

JASPER — The Jasper Street Department is reminding Jasper residents that the only acceptable items to be disposed of in the Resource Recovery Site are as follows: grass clippings; yard waste, such as flower and shrub trimmings; leaves; tree limbs; garden waste; clean dirt, small amounts only; and clean concrete/bricks, small amounts only.

Items that are not allowed include: two-by-fours; treated/processed lumber (used in construction); landscape timbers; railroad ties; flower pots of any kind; construction debris; and household trash.

Bags and containers must be emptied and properly disposed of, not left at the recovery site.

The recovery site is open 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
