City of Jasper officials honored for service

EVANSVILLE — Two Jasper city officials received awards Wednesday evening at the 2017 Accelerate Indiana Municipalities Idea Summit in Evansville.

Clerk-Treasurer Juanita Boehm won the Financial Management Award that recognizes outstanding achievements in management, financial recording and leadership in public service. Park and Recreation Director Ken Buck was awarded the Ivan H. Brinegar Municipal Management Award that recognizes strong leadership, contributions to the community and a role model to citizens and other municipal officials. The recipient must have served for at least 10 years.

Boehm has served as Jasper’s clerk-treasurer since 1996, and Buck has served as the director of the Jasper Park and Recreation Department since 1975.
