City: Natural gas supply has stabilized

JASPER — The Jasper Gas Department has determined that the natural gas supply to the city has stabilized substantially enough to allow customers to return to their normal operations, effective immediately.

Weather conditions are projected to improve over the next few days and the pipelines are beginning to increase production. More natural gas is now available to the city through Tetco and AnR remains restricted, but available. The current weather forecast looks more favorable, thus the decision to lift restrictions.

According to a press release: "Tthe City of Jasper would like to thank all those involved with assisting us in getting through this unprecedented event. The response from our citizens was greatly appreciated and reinforced the communities willingness to help toward the common good."
