City alters recovery site, yard waste pickup daysDecember 19, 2019

JASPER — The City of Jasper’s Resource Recovery Site will be closed on Saturdays beginning Jan. 4 and lasting through April 11. The site will reopen Saturday operations on April 18, with hours of 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Due to the low volume of yard waste during the winter months, the Jasper Street Department will no longer collect yard waste on Saturdays beginning Jan. 4.
Saturday collection will resume on Saturday, April 18.
During the winter months of January, February, March and the first half of April, yard waste will be collected on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for those residents along and south 13th Street. Residents north of 13th Street will have yard waste collected on Tuesday and Thursday.
The Resource Recovery Site is available for only residents in the city limits only (no contractors). Hours are 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
