Church schedules block partyMay 13, 2019
DALE — The Dale Presbyterian Church and Micah Center, 8 N. Main St., will host its annual block party on Thursday, May 30. The event is free and open to the community.
The fun and games begin at 4:30 p.m. CT with a picnic-style meal served at 5:30 p.m. CT outdoors, under and in the tented area. The menu includes hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, cookies and condiments.
The block party will include chalk art, game tables, Whiffle ball and corn hole. A clown will be on hand to create balloon animals.
A prayer table will be open to anyone seeking a listening ear or for a specific request, and a first aid table will be available in the event of an injury.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare the food; assist in grilling or clean-up; and to set up and take down tables, chairs and booths.
