Church bells to toll for prayer
March 18, 2020From Local Sources
JASPER — Long known as the “Faithful Watchman” the bell tower at St. Joseph Catholic Church is a visible anchor in our community. The church invites the community to unite in prayer at 3 p.m. Thursday, at which time the bells of St. Joseph will toll for 15 minutes.
Thursday is the Feast Day of Saint Joseph, Father of Jesus and Patron Saint of the St. Joseph Parish.
Every day after this, the bells will gently toll for 5 minutes in a continued invitation to prayer. All churches are invited to unite in this invitation.
If you are able and so disposed, please pause at home, in your car or work to ask for God’s blessing upon our community, family, friends, and loved ones.
