Christmas lights can be recycled
November 26, 2018The Dubois County Solid Waste District asks residents to recycle rather than throw away old strings of Christmas lights this year.
Dubois County residents can recycle strands of old lights from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Solid Waste District Process Center, 1103 S. 350W, Jasper and at the Jasper Rural King, 1920 Lube Way during regular hours through Jan. 14.
The program accepts strands of electric lights only, not rigid frames such as yard shapes.
Residents may call 812-482-7865 or email duboiscoswmd@psci.net for more information.
The recycling program is in cooperation with Jasper Salvage, Jasper Rural King and the Dubois County Solid Waste District.
