Cephas Dewayne “Pete” Conrad, 77, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born in Dubois County on July 26, 194,2 to Cephas Doyle Conrad and Ruby C. (Phillips) Conrad.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a 1960 graduate of Springs Valley High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He had worked as a planner and estimator at NWSC Crane where he retired.
Pete was a member of the Hillham Church of Christ in Christian Union, French Lick American Legion Post 76 and French Lick Masonic Lodge #586 F&AM.
Pete is survived by one son, Robert Heeke (Cheryl) Pensacola, Florida; three daughters, Regina Uhland (Gregory) Defuniak Springs, Florida, Janet Conrad Miguel (Sean) New Salisbury, and Michelle Conrad (Jennifer) Pensacola, Florida; two sisters, Judy Crews, West Baden Springs, and Debbie Goodman (Harold “Gene”) Bedford; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren
A Private Graveside Ceremony will be held at Cuzco Community Cemetery.
