Celestine Elementary fourth grader Carson Beck was named the 2019 Indiana State Champion for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Challenge in the 9-year-old boys division.
Beck placed first out of six finalists at the state competition this past Sunday at St. Theodore Guerin High School in Noblesville. The six finalists advanced to state after winning regional, district and local competitions.
Beck attends Northeast Dubois School Corporation and his local round was held at Dubois Middle School and sponsored by Good Shepherd of the Hills Council 13623 which serves St. Isidore Parish, where Carson is a member.
