Celebration Singers set rehearsals
March 13, 2020The Celebration Singers will begin rehearsals for their 2020 summer concert season at 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 140 E. 32nd St., Jasper. This is the ideal time for anyone who would like to become a member to join the group as they “sing for fun.” No auditions are required.
The Celebration Singers — set to begin their 19th year of performances — is a group consisting of amateur singers from Dubois, Spencer, Pike and Martin counties. Rehearsals are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, March through November. Attendance at each rehearsal is not required but encouraged. Summer concerts are generally held from June through September, and the group presents four to five Christmas concerts in November and December each year.
New members are welcomed. Those who have sung in a high school or church choir — and those who have never sung in a choir but have always wanted to do so — are encouraged to attend a Celebration Singers rehearsal to experience the joy of singing with others.
