Cats swim past Pioneers

The Jasper boys and girls swim teams had solid meets on Tuesday night defeating Boonville on both the boys and girls side. The boys defeated Boonville 105-48 while the girls raced past the Pioneers 115-68.

On the boys side, notable times were swam by Max Henke in the 200 freestyle (1:57.48, first) and 500 freestyle (5:18.25, first), Dimitri Gordon in the 50 freestyle (29.19, fifth) and Nolan Henke in the 100 butterfly (57.88, first).

On the girls side there were several notable swims including Claire Witte in the 200 freestyle (2:41.79, third), Rhegann Weisheit and Kelsea Skorge in the 50 freestyle (28.96, first; 39.77, sixth), Kate Weaver in the 500 freestyle (5:50.22, first), Colby Kreilein in the 100 backstroke (1:24.58, fourth) and Amanda Schnell in the 100 breaststroke (1:35.86, third).

The Cats will face Southridge on Thursday for their next meet.
