Carrie Wagner and Ryan Sermersheim

Carrie Wagner and Ryan Sermersheim, both of Indianapolis, were married June 8, 2012, at Islandside Beach in Longboat Key, Fla. The Rev. Richard Butler officiated at the service.

Kathy Hoff of Palmetto, Fla., Robert Hoppins and Charlene and Gary Sermersheim, Jasper, are parents of the couple.

Matt Kirlin of Jeffersonville sang and played the guitar for the ceremony.

The bride was given away by her grandfather, Tom Kyle. She chose Kaiya Wagner, her daughter, as her honor attendant. Maid of honor was April Hoff, Brookville, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Courtney Petty, Colorado Springs, Colo. Bridesmaids were Sarah Baird of Indianapolis, Katie McWilliams of Venice, Fla., and Lauren Clason of Avon, friends of the bride, and Ann Hayworth of Brownsburg, cousin of the bridegroom.

Bret Sermersheim, Evansville, was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Justin Sermersheim of Jasper, Aaron Clason of Avon, Jason Hildenbrand of Florence, Ky., Kreg Stockberger of Frankfort, Ky., and Matt Volz of Brownsburg. Usher was Alex Sermersheim, nephew of the bridegroom.
The reception was held at Harbourside Ballroom in Longboat Key.

The couple took a wedding trip to Colorado.

The bride graduated from Oldenburg Academy and Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. She is a project engineer for Shiel Sexton Co. Mr. Sermersheim graduated from Jasper High School and Indiana State University and served in the Indiana National Guard with two tours in Iraq. He is also employed by Shiel Sexton Co. as project manager.
