JASPER — One motorist suffered a minor injury in a car-versus-SUV collision Wednesday afternoon at 14th and Jackson streets.
Mara K. Gonzalez, 18, French Lick, was westbound on 14th Street in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala at the time of the 2:39 p.m. accident, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Jackson Street is a through route at the location and police say Gonzalez, after stopping, pulled into the path of a southbound 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Jeffrey A. Brier, 28, Birdseye.
The Brier Hyundai struck the passenger-side front corner of the Gonzalez Chevrolet.
Brier suffered a bump on the left side of his forehead; however, police said, he declined treatment.
Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the Brier Hyundai and $1,500 to the Gonzalez Chevrolet.
An officer cited Gonzalez for failure to yield the right of way.
