DUBOIS — Police worked an Orange County motorist’s car-versus-deer collision Friday night near the Dubois Crossroads.
Jeremy S. Nichols, 45, Paoli, was eastbound on State Road 56 in a 2011 Dodge Charger when the 9:38 p.m. accident occurred near County Road 575E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said Nichols’ car collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the north.
Damage to the car’s driver-side headlight and front and rear doors was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
Nichols was able to drive from the scene.
