Car-vs-deer collision results in minor damage

JASPER — The damage was limited in a Monday morning collision pitting a deer and a passenger car east of Jasper.

Clara M. Hall, 64, Dubois, was southbound on Jasper-Dubois Road in a 2005 Ford Five Hundred when the 6:15 a.m. accident occurred 1,000 feet north of State Road 164, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said Hall’s Ford collided with a deer the came onto the travel portion of the roadway from the east.

Damage was estimated to be less than $1,000.
