Car-vs-deer collision results in damage

ST. HENRY — No injuries were reported after a deer-versus-car collision Friday night in the St. Henry area.

Alexandar B. Boultinghouse, 18, Rockport, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2002 Ford Focus when the 10:29 p.m. accident occurred 500 feet north of County Road 1150S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.

Damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000 when the Focus had a head-on collision with a deer that came onto the highway from the east.

The St. Henry Volunteer Fire Department and a KARS wrecker assisted.
