Car-vs-deer collision damages Kia

ST. MARKS — A car was able to be driven from the scene of a Saturday night collision with a deer in St. Marks.
Tammy Rivera, 38, St. Anthony, was westbound on State Road 64 in a 2014 Kia when the 8:45 p.m. accident occurred near County Road 550E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Rivera Kia collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the north.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
A deputy was unable to locate the deer after the collision.
