FERDINAND — No injuries were reported after a car-versus-semi collision Thursday evening on Ferdinand’s south side.
Brandon J. Landry, 17, Birdseye, was eastbound on Third Street in a 2005 Toyota Scion when the 7:13 p.m. mishap occurred at Industrial Park Road, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Landry told police he stopped at Industrial Park Road and then proceeded eastbound.
Police said Landry failed to notice a 2006 Freightliner traveling northbound on Industrial Park Road. The semi was owned by MasterBrand and driven by William T. Sanders, 52, Troy, police said.
The Freightliner struck the passenger-side rear door of the Toyota.
Damage to the front of the Freightliner was estimated to be less than $1,000 while the Scion was believed to be a total loss.
A Berg’s Garage wrecker assisted.
