FERDINAND — One car was considered a total loss after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Ferdinand’s north side.
Ronald Mundy, 69, Ferdinand, had been eastbound on Industrial Park Road North in a 2005 Toyota Camry in the moments leading up to the 6:20 a.m. accident at State Road 162, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police said Mundy was attempting to turn left onto the highway but did not see a northbound 2009 Jeep Wrangler driven by Greg Mitchem, 33, Jasper.
The vehicles collided, with Mundy’s Camry considered a total loss. Damage to the rear driver’s side tire and wheelwell area of the Jeep was significant, police said, although no dollar estimate was listed.
Neither driver was injured.
An officer cited Mundy for failure to yield the right of way.
