BRETZVILLE — Both vehicles were towed from the scene after a passenger-car-versus-SUV collision Friday night at the Bretzville Junction.
Mikayla A. Granados, 22, Huntingburg, was westbound on State Road 64 in a 2008 Chrysler 300 at the time of the 8:18 p.m. accident, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Once the traffic signal at the intersection turned green, police said, Granados started forward. Her car struck the driver’s side door of a southbound 2013 Subaru Forester driven by Andrew B. Riley, 25, of Little Rock, Arkansas.
A witness following the Granados Chrysler confirmed the light was green for east-west traffic and Riley ran a red light, according to the sheriff’s office.
Total damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.
