JASPER — Damage was limited when a car struck a deer lying in the roadway just south of Jasper late Sunday night.
Karl F. Vinsek, 69, Ferdinand, was southbound on Third Avenue in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala when the 11:29 p.m. accident occurred near Schnellville Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said the Vinsek Impala struck a deer lying in the roadway near the Schnellville Road intersection, causing damage that was estimated at less than $1,000.
