BRETZVILLE — No injuries were reported in a Friday afternoon accident just east of Bretzville that found a car in a large ditch.
Thomas L. Allen, 29, Jasper, was eastbound on County Road 550S in a 1983 Chrysler Fifth Avenue when the 3 p.m. mishap occurred east of County Road 245E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy reported the Allen Chrysler ran off the shoulder of the road and, when he steered back, he over-corrected. The Chrysler spun 180 degrees and stopped off the side of the road in a large ditch.
Allen allegedly stated he had been forced off the road by a small black car that was in his lane of travel.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
