HUNTINGBURG — No injuries were reported when a car left a roadway south of Huntingburg Monday night.
Aaron J. Recker, 25, Huntingburg, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when the 8:08 p.m. mishap occurred north of County Road 900S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Recker nodded off behind the wheel, causing his car to strike a Frontier Communications pole off the west side of the highway before stopping in a roadside ditch line.
Total damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
