Car runs into Jasper-area ditch

From Local Sources

JASPER — A wrecker was needed — but only for light duty — after a Monday mishap on Schuetter Road east of County Road 350W.

Crystal A. Hochgesang, 27, Jasper, was westbound on Schuetter Road in a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier when the 11:50 a.m. accident occurred just west of the city, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said Hochgesang’s car drove off the north side of the road and into a ditch, striking an embankment with its passenger-side front.

The car was pulled back onto the roadway by a Uebelhor & Sons wrecker but did not have to be towed away.

Damage to the car was estimated at $2,500.
