HUNTINGBURG — Police said two vehicle occupants suffered minor injury when a car rolled Friday night along a county road northeast of Huntingburg.
Beronica Y. Dubon, 18, Huntingburg, was southbound on County Road 130W in a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu when the 9:06 p.m. accident occurred 500 feet north of County Road 375S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Dubon told a deputy she thought either a tire blew or something broke in her steering when the car ran off the west side of the road. The car went into a ditch, overturned and stopped upright on its wheels facing north on the west side of County Road 130W, according to the sheriff’s office.
Dubon complained of rib pain and a passenger complained of leg pain but both declined to be transported to the hospital for treatment after an ambulance came to the scene.
Total damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
The Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a KARS wrecker assisted.
A deputy cited Dubon for driving while suspended (prior).
