SCHNELLVILLE — A motorist swerved and avoided a deer Sunday morning west of Schnellville but her car then struck two farm implements off the roadway.

Paige M. Boeckman, 26, Ferdinand, was westbound on Schnellville Road in a 2012 Chrysler 200 when the 8:15 a.m. accident occurred 750 feet east of County Road 400E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

Boeckman said she had swerved to miss a deer in the roadway when her car traveled off the north side of the roadway.

The Chrysler struck the tire area of a John Deere disc frame and then a six-row corn head before stopping facing south.
