JASPER — A motorist was taken to the emergency room Thursday for a complaint of arm pain after the car he was driving ran off a roadway northeast of Jasper and flipped multiple times.
Ethan H. Fromme, 16, Jasper, was westbound on County Road 300N in a 1998 Buick LeSabre when the 6:05 p.m. accident occurred east of County Road 175E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
Fromme told a deputy he lost control of the car after it went off the north side of the roadway and into gravel. The Buick struck a ditch and flipped multiple times before stopping in the ditch facing north.
The sheriff’s department said Fromme complained of arm pain and was taken by private vehicle to be evaluated at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. A hospital spokeswoman said he was treated and released.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $2,500.
A Uebelhor & Sons wrecker towed the car because of disabling damage.
The Dubois Volunteer Fire Department and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services also assisted.
