DUBOIS — No injuries were reported Friday after a car found its way into a watery ditch south of Dubois.
Eli W. Schott, 18, Crystal, was southbound on Jasper-Dubois Road in a 2011 Ford Mustang when the 12:35 p.m. accident occurred 1,000 feet south of State Road 545, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the car traveled off the west side of the road, causing Schott to lose control of the vehicle. The Mustang went into a ditch, struck an embankment with its front, and then continued in the ditch filled with water before it stopped facing south.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
