FERDINAND — A driver was treated at the scene of a single-vehicle crash east of Ferdinand Saturday night.
Blake R. Egler, 20, Ferdinand, was eastbound on Convent Road in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze when the 10:30 p.m. accident occurred west of County Road 475E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Egler’s car left the south side of the roadway. He brought it back onto the road but over-corrected, sending the car into a spin.
The Chevrolet left the north side of the road and its driver’s side struck a tree.
EMS treated Egler at the scene, but he declined to be transported to the emergency room, according to the sheriff’s office.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $10,000.
A Berg’s Garage wrecker, the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
