Camaro lands in flooded Jasper field

JASPER — A 2015 Chevrolet Camaro was believed to be a total loss after it landed in a flooded Jasper field Thursday evening.

Yonluy Alejo Acosta, 20, Jasper, was southbound in the 600 block of Clay Street at 6:03 p.m. when a rear tire on his Camaro blew, according to the Jasper Police Department.

Police said Alejo Acosta lost control of the car, which landed in the flooded field.

Alejo Acosta and a passenger escaped injury.
