Calvin Lee Jones, 82, Velpen
January 8, 2021Calvin Lee Jones, age 82, of Velpen, Indiana, passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at home.

Calvin was born in Pike County, Indiana, on July 26, 1938, to Pearlie and Evelyn (Risley) Jones. He married Velma Bottoms on June 23, 1967.
He was a graduate of Otwell High School.
He retired from Old Ben Coal Local 5179, where he had been a coal miner.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Velma Jones, Velpen, IN, one daughter, Molly (Vince) Fiscus, Velpen, IN, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are one daughter, Rachel Jones, one brother, Lloyd Jones, and one sister, Loretta Sollman.
A grave site service for Calvin Lee Jones will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021, in Spraggin Cemetery in Velpen, Indiana.
