Builders Association presents 3 scholarships

The Builders Association of Dubois County’s annual scholarships were presented to three local 2019 graduates. This year’s Builders Association of Dubois County Scholarship winners were Carter Gentry and Cade Prechtel. The Mark Schneider Memorial Fund Scholarship winner was Jarod Knust. They received a check for $1,000.

Gentry graduated from Jasper High School. He will be attending Western Kentucky University to study construction management. While attending JHS, Gentry was on the football team for all four years. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Unified Track and Team Tailgate. He is the son of Chris Gentry and Carma Gentry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prechtel is a graduate of Forest Park High School. He will be attending the University of Southern Indiana to study civil engineering. While a student at FPHS, Prechtel was on the golf team. He also was a member of Rangers for Christ, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Natural Helpers, Key Club and youth group. He is the son of Monty Prechtel and Tamera Hawkins.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Knust graduated from FPHS. He will be attending Vincennes University to study construction technology. While attending FPHS, Knust was on the track and field team. He also was a member of the FFA and Beta Club. Knust was involved with 4-H over the past 10 years. He is the son of Greg and Kathy Knust.
