JASPER — A Jasper man suffered a broken leg in a scooter-versus-passenger car accident Wednesday afternoon at Reyling Drive and Leslie Drive.
Gregory Salb, 67, Jasper, was eastbound on Reyling Drive in a 2017 Toyota Camry at the time of the 3 p.m. accident, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Frankie Ridener, 38, Jasper, was southbound on Leslie Drive in a 2012 Tao Tao scooter. Police said Ridener failed to stop at the intersection and the vehicles collided.
Ridener suffered a broken leg and other injuries, police said. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Police said the Salb Camry sustained some front-end damage. A Sternberg Automotive Group wrecker recovered the remnants of the scooter, which was a total loss.
The scooter was uninsured and had an expired plate, according to police.
No citations were issued.
