On Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, a double ring ceremony united in marriage Brenda Wehr and Brandon Schnell. The ceremony took place in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Father Ray Brenner officiated at the 1 p.m. Ceremony.
John and Sharon Wehr of St. Anthony and Jeffrey and Jolene Schnell of Jasper are parents of the couple.
Mary Burke was organist and vocalist for the ceremony.
Jaela Alvey, friend of the couple, and Ashley Beard, cousin of the bride, distributed programs and bubbles.
Lectors were Ann Primus, great-aunt of the bride, and Linda Schroering, grandmother of the bridegroom. The offertory gifts were presented by Virginia Moore and Mark Wehr, godparents of the bride, and Kris Murray and Rick Schnell, godparents of the bridegroom. Eucharistic ministers were Paula Wehr and Martha Bohnert, aunts of the bride, and Cassie Beyke, friend of the couple.
Mr. Wehr gave his daughter in marriage. The bride chose a pick-up ball gown of taffeta featuring a sweetheart neckline and a dropped waist with beaded metallic lace and a chapel train. She wore a veil with beaded detailing and a rhinestone headpiece and jewelry.
The bride chose Cassie Schilling of Jasper as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Neal of Arkansas and Lena Potts of Hawesville, Ky., friends of the couple, and Amber Jones of Jasper, sister of the bridegroom.
Joel Sedam of Haysville was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Schnell of St. Anthony, cousin of the bridegroom; Bret Hinkle of Jasper, friend of the couple; and John Jones of Jasper, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Andy Lindauer and Jason Eckert of Jasper were ushers.
The reception was held at the Celestine Community Club. Danielle and Kaylee Murray, cousins of the bridegroom, were registry attendants.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois. She is a routing coordinator for DMI Furniture in Huntingburg and a Pampered Chef consultant. Mr. Schnell graduated from Jasper High School in 2003 and attended Vincennes University. He is a mixer truck operator for Irving Materials in Huntingburg.
