The Chicago Bears re-signed Forest Park alum TE Ben Braunecker on Monday afternoon to a two-year contract.
Braunecker has appeared in 36 games with four starts in three seasons for Chicago. He’s caught seven passes for 83 yards and has also recorded 11 special teams tackles.
He was a three-year football starter at Forest Park and was named to the All-State honorable mention roster as a senior while also earning All-Conference and All-Southwestern Indiana nods. He finished with 51 career receptions, 1,254 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had 1,005 kickoff return yards and 101 tackles and seven interceptions on defense.
