Book sale takes place Saturday

FERDINAND — The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will hold its monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the library’s basement. One can enter from the library itself or through the northside doors off of the Ferdinand Community Center parking lot.

Two tables of seasonal books are still on display. There are four sets of Christmas books for a seasonal drawing. In addition, everyone who purchases a book may select one book as a gift.

A donation of westerns features books by Louis L’Amour, Zane Grey, Elmore Leonard, Max Brand, Larry McMurtry and others.

The library will continue to have tables and shelves of newly-donated fiction and nonfiction books, large print books, children’s and young adult books, DVDs and puzzles.

Hardback books are $1, paperback books are 50 cents, DVDs are $1, and puzzles vary in price. All proceeds go towards the library for children’s teen and adult programming. Donations should be marked as going to the Friends of the Ferdinand Branch Library.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Friends of the Ferdinand library can ask for a brochure at the sale or at the front desk.
