Book Cellar offers April specialsApril 18, 2019
JASPER — The Book Cellar, located in the basement of the Library Annex, 1103 Main St., will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20.
Specials for April all hardcover books, excluding special collections, will be $1. In the Clearance room, patrons can fill a bag with books for $1.
The Book Cellar is operated by volunteers of the Friends of the Jasper Public Library and proceeds benefit library programs and events.
Recent donations of audiobooks have been added this month, along with fiction and non-fiction in most genres.
The Book Cellar requests customers bring small bills when shopping as they are unable to make change for $20 on small purchases. Credit Cards can be used on purchases of $5 or more.
The Book Cellar is stocked from community donations. Smaller donations can be dropped off in the collection box located on the main floor of the library annex or inside the entrance to the main library when it is open. For larger donations, call or text Betty at 812-827-8384 or email her at FOTJPL@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off time at the Book Cellar. Some items are not accepted, including magazines, Reader’s Digests, older textbooks and encyclopedias.
