Book about Dale’s history available

DALE — Orders are being taken for the second edition of the book on the history of the town of Dale, “Dale, Indiana 1843-1993.”

It has been 25 years since the the book was first published. The second edition should be ready for delivery before Christmas. The order deadline is Saturday, Oct. 13.

For those who already have the original edition, it is important to note that this book is the same as the original with the exception that all known errors and omissions have been fixed, and about 18 pages of new historical information that fit between the years 1843-1993 has been added.

Order forms may be picked up at the Dale Lincoln Heritage Public Library or a check and delivery information can be sent to Daryl Lovell, 211 E Cherry St., Dale IN 47523.

Books are $49, plus $7 for shipping if they need to be mailed. Checks should be made out to Dale Fall Festival. Books may be picked up at a location to be announced when they arrive. Just like the first edition, all proceeds go back to the Dale Fall Festival for use to benefit the Dale area.
