Bombers win in 12, erase skidJune 13, 2013

It took a little longer than usual, but the Dubois County Bombers ended their three-game losing streak Wednesday night at League Stadium, where Dubois County claimed a 9-8, 12-inning victory.
Dubois County (6-4) led 4-0 after five innings before Owensboro (4-4) pounced for five runs in the sixth frame to grab the lead. The Bombers then scored three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth before the Oilers extended the game into extra innings.
In the 12th, Hamilton Carr drew a leadoff walk for the Bombers, then moved to second base on an error before scoring after Andre Davis coaxed a bases-loaded walk; Bo Ausmus was intentionally walked to load the bases for Davis.
Ausmus finished 4-for-6 with four RBIs and a run scored, Davis went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and a run scored and Rick Linton also notched two hits. Carr scored four runs and Jacob Armstrong added two more runs for the Bombers. Linton (1-0) tossed the final three innings to collect the win.
Jasper High School graduate Dane Giesler finished 1-for-4 as one of eight players to record a hit for Dubois County, which hosts Fulton (4-5) tonight at 7 at League Stadium.
