Bombers hold off late comeback

Going into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dubois County Bombers found themselves with a comfortable 13-9 lead. However, the Henderson Flash scored four runs in the bottom of the inning and had the tying run on base but couldn’t quite complete the comeback as the Bombers held on to win 13-12.

John McDonald and Chase Andrews both had three hits a piece for the Bombers while Andrews and Evan Aders both had a whopping four RBIs in the game. Aders and Nick Gonzales both sent balls out of the stadium as the homer was the third of the year for Aders while Gonzales moonshot was his second of the season.

Evan Hall was the winning pitcher for the Bombers as he pitched five innings while giving up eight hits, five earned runs and six strikeouts.
