Bombers drop third straight game

It’s been a rough start to the season for the Dubois County Bombers. After jumping out to a 4-2 lead over the Paducah Chiefs on Tuesday evening, the Bombers were defeated 8-4 as they suffered their third consecutive loss.

Zuriel Collins and Marcus Hill both drove in runs in the loss while Austin Duffy led the way with two total hits. Hill and Tyler Van Pelt recorded the only other base knocks for the Bombers on Tuesday night.

Andrew Schimmoler took the loss on the mound as he gave up five total runs (one earned) and two hits in one inning of work. Chase Rudy started the game and lasted four innings while allowing just three hits. He also walked four batters and struck out five.

Dubois County will travel to Franklin tonight for the first-ever meeting against the Duelers, the newest team in the Ohio Valley League. After that, they’ll four straight home games from Thursday through Sunday.
