Body found in Perry County

On Monday, the troopers at the Indiana State Police Jasper Post and deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a body found near the Rome boat ramp on the Ohio River in Perry County.
Troopers, Indiana Conservation officers and deputies were able to retrieve the body and an autopsy was scheduled for today.
At the time of this release, no positive identification has been made on the body and the investigation is ongoing. According to a news release, state Police detectives are diligently working on identifying the body and determining a cause of death.
