BIRDSEYE — The Birdseye Branch Library has several activities planned for November.
New to the activities planned is the CBD and CBG informational Class that is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Join a local resident as she speaks about the new rave on CBD oils and their benefits. Preregistration is required.
The book club for adults and high school students will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. Newcomers are always welcome to join the group, which meets the first Tuesday of each month. Extra copies of the current book are available at the library.
An art class for home schooled students will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 7 and 21. The foscus will be making Fall- and Thanksgiving-related art projects. This class will meet on the first and third Thursday of each month through December. Registration is required due to limited space.
Saturday at the movies for kids will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. The featured movie is “Toy Story 4.” Popcorn and a drink will be available.
Toddler Tuesday will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. A volunteer will help the littles make a “Thanks Squirrel” sign craft and then read a Thanksgiving story. Parents are to send along a change of clothes or bring toddlers in play clothes.
Storytime and crafts will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. Children of all ages are invited to listen to a staff member read a Fall story and help children make a colorful magic scratch leaf. A snack will be provided.
Saturday kids’ craft time will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. A staff member is making a Thanksgiving themed craft. Refreshments will be served. Registration is requested and children under the age of 8 must bring an adult to help with the craft.
Saturday at the Movies 2 will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. “The Pilgrim’s Progress” is the featured movie this month. The library will show a movie for teens and tweens on the fourth Saturday of each month. Popcorn and a drink will be served. Movies are rated PG.
An adult craft club for adults will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Cricut will be used to make a winter scene on a whiskey bottle. A snack and a drink will be provided. Preregistration is required.
A nurse will be available for free blood pressure checks each Thursday in October and November from 2 to 4 p.m.
The libraries will be closed on Nov. 11 in remembrance of Veterans Day and November 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
