Birdseye Library plans March events

DUBOIS — The Dubois Branch Library has activities scheduled for March.

The Birdseye Book Club for adults and high school students will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. The book that will be discussed will be “Air Raid Nights and Radio Days” by Don Schroeder, and the book that will be handed out will be “Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind” by Ann B. Ross. Newcomers are always welcome to join the group, which meets the first Tuesday of each month. Extra copies of the current book are available at the library.

Art class for homeschool students will meet on March 5 and March 19. The class meets on the first and third Thursdays from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This month’s art will be focusing on St. Patrick’s and Spring-related art projects. This class will meet through May. Preregistration is required.

Storytime and Crafts will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Children of all ages are invited to listen to a staff member read a St. Patrick’s story and decorate St. Patrick’s cupcakes. Children under the age of 8 are required to have an adult present and preregistration is requested.

Saturday at the Movies for Kids will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14. A featured movie for children that is rated G or PG is shown on the second Saturday of each month. Popcorn and a drink will be available.

Saturday kids’ craft time will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21. Join a staff member in making a spring-time craft. All supplies will be provided. Preregister for this class online or by calling the library.

The Adult Craft Club will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. The craft will be a spring-time tea towel. A snack and drink will be provided. Preregistration is required.

Christian Movie Night will start at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26. The movie will be a religious movie and family oriented. Popcorn and drinks will be available.

Saturday at the Movies 2 will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28. A movie for teens and tweens will be shown on the fourth Saturday of each month. Popcorn and a drink will be available. Movies are rated PG to PG13.

Spring Family Night of Bingo will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31. Prizes will be won as a staff member calls off bingo. Pizza and drinks will be available. Preregister for this class due to limited space.

A nurse will be available for free blood pressure checks each Thursday in March from 2 to 4 p.m.
