Between The Rains

Jerry Kuhl of Duff mowed his yard along County Road 600W  between rain showers Monday afternoon. “I have three mowers, three (trimmers), two tractors and only one operator,” Kuhl said. The 66-year-old bachelor has lived in the house since he was 9 years old.

After mowing his yard, Jerry Kuhl of Duff rested in his kitchen while feeding his dogs — Jessie, left, Sally, and Trinket — treats Monday afternoon. “Everyday at four they come remind me, it’s their time to get fed,” Kuhl said. “I don’t know what I’d do without them.”
