Betty J. Stanfield, 93, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Springs Valley Meadows.
She was born in French Lick on May 29, 1925, to Raymond Kellams and Effie “McKeighen” Kellams.
Betty married Marvin “Plug” Stanfield on January 15, 1949, and he preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five sisters, Ethel Qualkenbush, Sadie Kinsey, Kathleen Walls, Margaret Sugarman and Magaleen Archer.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of French Lick High School, a member of Moores Ridge United Methodist Church and the French Lick American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
She worked at the French Lick Sheraton and French Lick Springs.
Betty is survived by one son, Mark Stanfield (Jean); one daughter, Susie Kendall (Bill); four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Joe Crow on Friday, March 1, at noon at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Service, French Lick.
