Best Home Furnishings awards scholarships

FERDINAND — Best Home Furnishings recently awarded scholarships to four dependent children of full-time employees.

Utilizing a permanent endowment established by Best, the Dubois County Community Foundation selected the winners of the academic scholarships. The winners were each awarded $4,000 scholarships toward a four-year degree.

 

Bralyn Boehm, daughter of Glen (Recliner Division, Packing Department) and Barbara Boehm of Ferdinand, graduated from Forest Park High School. She was a member of volleyball, dance, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Natural Helpers, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Beta Club, National Honors Society, Rangers for Christ, Community Impact and Key Club. Bralyn plans to attend the University of Louisville to major in criminal psychology and American sign language.

 

 

 

 

Noah Gehlhausen, son of Rita (Chair Division, Sewing Department) and Verlyn Gehlhausen of Huntingburg, graduated from Forest Park High School. He was a member of Robotics. Noah plans to attend Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis to major in software development.

 

 

 

 

 

Thea Petry, daughter of Glenn Petry (Chair Division, Packing Department) and Sarah Petry of St. Anthony, graduated from Forest Park High School. She was a member of dance, SADD, Rangers for Christ, FCCLA, Beta Club and Community Impact. Thea plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in psychology.

 

 

 

 

 

Denai Sicard, daughter of Greg (VP Sales and Marketing) and Jill Sicard of Ferdinand, graduated from Forest Park High School. She was a member of soccer, Beta Club and Rangers for Christ. Denai plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in marketing.
