Benefit announced for cancer patient

JASPER — A benefit for Rose Barkley will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Jasper Outdoor Recreation.

Barkley was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in September. She is undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The benefit is being held to assist her with financial needs.

The menu will include chili and hamburgers. A raffle, one-half pot and bake sale also will take place. The soup also will be sold by the gallon.
