FERDINAND — The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will have its second Saturday basement book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. The sale can be entered from either the library’s main floor or through the north side doors off the community center parking lot.

“Love and Romance” is this sale’s theme. There will be a variety of romance books, wedding-themed books, poetry and cookbooks available for purchase. A table of discounted romance books (five for $1) also will be displayed.

The young adult books have been moved to a more accessible area. Newly-acquired children’s books,

Westerns, Classics and favorite authors are grouped together for easy perusal. Recently donated fiction and nonfiction hardbacks and paperbacks are displayed. Several jigsaw puzzles have been donated to the library’s sales.

Hardback books are $1, paperbacks are 50 cents and DVDs are $1. Children’s books and puzzles are variously priced. Proceeds from the sale are used for library programming for children, teens and adults.

Donations of gently-used books and puzzles are appreciated and welcome. Mark donations for the

Friends. Membership pamphlets are available at the sale and at the library’s front desk.
