FERDINAND — The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will hold its monthly sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the library’s basement. Patrolns should enter by the northside doors off of the Ferdinand Community Center parking lot.
Christmas in July will be the celebrated. Craft books, recipe books, children’s books, adult and teen novels and puzzles will be placed on special table for easy access. There will be three giveaways of Christmas books.
Bingo books for students at Ferdinand Elementary, Pine Ridge Elementary and Cedar Crest Intermediate schools are displayed in special areas. Patrons can purchase and read the books to complete bingo cards for the schools’ summer reading programs.
Hardback books are $1, softback books are 50 cents, DVDs are $2 and jigsaw puzzles vary in price.
All proceeds go to fund library programming such as the Silly Safari at the YMCA at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the YMCA and ice cream cones for the Music on the Patio session featuring Mike Cummings and Evan Elrod at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 12.
The Friends also will have a table at the Ferdinand Farmers Market between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Friends of the Ferdinand library can ask for a brochure at the sale or at the front desk.
